I hold a first class LLB (Hons), and LLM in Clinical Legal Education, and have completed the Bar Practice Course with a High Distinction. I was called to the Bar in 2024 and am currently seeking pupillage.
Alongside academic training, I have gained practical experience through county court advocacy, marshalling, mini-pupillages, pro bono clinic work and ongoing service as a Magistrate.
This blog is a space for reflective, essay-style commentary on recent judgments in England and Wales, as well as occasional reflections on the pupillage application process and life as a county court advocate.
The focus is on legal reasoning, context, and lived experience rather than advice. My aim is to read cases carefully, engage critically with judicial decision making, and share thoughtful accessible insights with those interested in the law and the Bar. These essays are not meant to be definitive. If you have studied law in any form, you will know that issues an be argued from a variety of points-of-view, depending on your position.
